See How the Cast of The Little Mermaid Live! Compares to Their Animated Counterparts

Grab your flippers, wet suits, and dive masks, because The Little Mermaid Live! is officially happening, people!

On Sunday, ABC shared the first look at the stars who will be taking on the iconic roles of Ariel, Prince Eric, Ursula the Sea Witch, and more in costume in a brief teaser for the upcoming live show. Moana's Auli'i Cravalho is lending her spectacular voice to the title role, while the special will also star Queen Latifah as Ursula, musician Shaggy as Sebastian, The Good Wife's Graham Phillips as Prince Eric, and Fuller House alum John Stamos as Chef Louis.

According to ABC, The Little Mermaid Live! will be a "never-before-seen hybrid format that will take viewers on a magical adventure under the sea as live musical performances by a star-studded cast are interwoven into the broadcast of the original feature film. The live musical event will feature beautifully intricate sets and costumes by three-time Emmy Award-winning designer Zaldy, with music from the original animated film and the Tony Award-nominated Broadway stage version, originally composed by eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken."

The network's adaptation of the 1989 Disney classic, which also ran on Broadway between late 2007 and 2009, will air on Nov. 5. But in the meantime, you can get a closer look at how the stars of the show compare to their animated counterparts ahead!
