"The 100" puts a whole lot of responsibility for the fate of the world on the shoulders of young adults. That's what "Shadowhunters" does too, but instead of fighting insurgents and conspiracies, they're fighting literal demons. When Clary, an aspiring artist, discovers that she's actually descended from a line of part-angel demon hunters, she's sucked into a secret world filled with all kinds of magical creatures, including vampires, faeries, warlocks, and werewolves. As it turns out, she's not just any Shadowhunter: her family tree includes a presumed-dead rebel who nearly destroyed both the human and Shadowhunter worlds, and whose evildoing may not be over yet.
