Fear Not, Bridgerton Fans — This Isn't the Last We'll See of Regé-Jean Page

Dear readers, we regret to inform you that Regé-Jean Page will not be returning for season two of Bridgerton. We repeat: the Duke of Hastings is not returning for the next season of the Shonda Rhimes Netflix series. Back in December, the one and only Lady Whistledown made the devastating announcement on Bridgerton's official Twitter account:

Dearest Readers,

While all eyes turn to Lord Anthony Bridgerton's quest to find a Viscountess, we bid adieu to Regé-Jean Page, who so triumphantly played the Duke of Hastings. We'll miss Simon's presence onscreen, but he will always be a part of the Bridgerton family. Daphne will remain a devoted wife and sister, helping her brother navigate the upcoming social season and what it has to offer — more intrigue and romance than my readers may be able to bear.

Yours Truly,

Lady Whistledown

Page then reposted the tweet on his page, adding, "Pleasure and a privilege! An honour to be a member of the family — on and off screen, cast, crew and incredible fans — the love is real and will just keep growing."

But fear not, my dear readers! This isn't the last we've seen of Page, as he's already set to appear in three other major projects. Keep reading to see where you can catch him next.

The Gray Man

Don't worry, it won't be long until Page graces our screens again, as he'll be starring alongside Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in Netflix's The Gray Man, directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. That's right — all of our faves are coming together for one movie. Based on the novel of the same name by Mark Greaney, the action thriller will follow Gosling's character, Court Gentry, as he's chased across the world by Evans's Lloyd Hansen, a former cohort at the CIA. Page has already completed production for the film, which is slated to become the biggest-budget feature in Netflix history. A premiere date has yet to be announced, but we'll definitely make sure to mark our calendars when it does drop.

Dungeons & Dragons

Page is staying booked and busy! In addition to The Gray Man, he's also signed on as the lead for Paramount's forthcoming movie adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons, a popular fantasy tabletop game. Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Justice Smith are also on board for the film. Game Night's Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are directing the film, which is set for a May 27, 2022, release.

A Netflix Heist Film

The movie is still untitled, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, it will be directed by Noah Hawley. Though details are still scarce, Page is set to executive produce and star in it.
