Kaufman plays Steven, Belly's protective older brother and a childhood friend of Jeremiah and Conrad. As an overachiever, he can be snarky at times but has a good heart. Steven plays a very limited role in the book series but has a much larger journey (including love interests of his own) in the TV show.
