In September 2021, the Lumineers announced that they would be releasing their fourth studio album, "Brightside," on Jan. 14. "It's like a 15-year-old's fever dream, an American love story in all its glory and heartbreak. The last couple left, on the run from something and all alone," singer-guitarist Wesley Schultz said of the album's title track. According to Spin, it will be the band's "most joyous and spontaneous piece of work thus far."
On Jan. 14, the band came through with the completed album, which includes tracks like "Birthday," "Big Shot," and "A.M. Radio." Less than a month later, on Feb. 9, the Lumineers also announced North American dates for their "Brightside" world tour.
