In this sci-fi love story, Butterfield plays Gardner Elliot, a teenager who is the first human to be raised on Mars. When he connects with 16 year-old Tulsa (Britt Robertson) in a chatroom online, he soon develops feelings for her and vows to meet her on Earth.
