OMG, After We Fell Is Coming to Netflix Way Sooner Than You Expected

Temperatures might be dropping as we transition from summer to fall, but if you're a fan of the After franchise, things are about to seriously heat up. The much-anticipated third installment of the spicy series, After We Fell, will soon hit Netflix after its run in movie theaters! Continuing on the narrative from After and After We Collided, After We Fell follows the drama-fueled relationship between Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin). Expect the couple to face intense obstacles and romantic challenges and deal with the impact of a new job, a move to Seattle, and the exposure of some dark family secrets. A movie filled with mysterious scandals and wild twists? Count us in!

After We Fell and the fourth film in the franchise, After Ever After, began production in September 2020. And luckily, after over a year of building excitement, After We Fell premiered in theaters on Sept. 30. But if you'd prefer to cozy up at home and watch the movie on Netflix, the film is available to purchase through video-on-demand sites like Redbox and Amazon. But you might be wondering when After We Fell will be available to stream on Netflix. Lucky for you, Netflix announced After We Fell will finally hit Netflix on Jan. 17, 2022.

The movie is hitting the streaming service even sooner than fans may have expected. After, the first movie in the franchise, hit theaters in April 2019 and then premiered on Netflix six months later in October 2019. The second movie, After We Collided, premiered on VOD and in theaters in October 2020 and was then released on Netflix in December 2020, a short two months later. But the second film's release on Netflix was accelerated because of COVID-19 restrictions and theater closures. So with theaters opening up, fans expected to wait until March 2022 for After We Fell to hit Netflix. They're certainly happy it's coming their way sooner, though!

While you wait for After We Fell to hit Netflix on Jan. 17, you can watch (and rewatch!) After and After We Collided on Netflix, check out the After We Fell trailer, or read the book series by Anna Todd that the franchise is based on.
