Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of Aladdin is already pretty different from the tried-and-true animation, but so far it hasn't steered us wrong. We've come around to Will Smith's personal spin on our favorite blue Genie, and we are definitely all-in for the new Jafar, so now it's obviously time for us to hear how the movie's soundtrack will get an update.

"A Whole New World" is arguably one of the best songs on the original Aladdin soundtrack (which is difficult to say since they're all amazing), and Disney has done it justice by tapping award-winning singer/songwriter Zayn and upcoming artist Zhavia Ward to perform the updated rendition of the Oscar and Grammy-winning duet. Those runs? Magnificent. Those vocal harmonies? BRB, I'm playing it again just to bask in their glory.

While it would have been amazing to see Zayn riding on a magic carpet for the music video, we'll have to be content with watching him broodingly croon while traipsing through the dark city streets. The cover will be featured in the film's end credits and on the Walt Disney Records soundtrack, which will be released when the film hits theaters on May 24!
