2 Are We There Yet?

This one is not a myth. I repeat, not a myth. When we took our first road trip to see family, the amount of times my daughter asked if we were there or almost there clocked in at about once every 10 minutes . . . for eight hours.

4 Whaaaaaattttttt?

Nothing bugs me more than when I ask my child a question and the answer is, "What?" or "What did you say?" They might as well say, I'm just saying what until I'm actually ready to listen to you.

Kids like to test the limits on what's appropriate and what's not — and so often they feel that adding the phrase "just joking" will soften the blow (and any punishment) a little bit.

9 Why?

The whys start around 2 and don't stop. If I had a dollar for the amount of times my children asked me "Why?" in a day, I would be a very rich mama.

10 I'm Hungry

Kids love to tell whomever will listen that they are hungry. Doesn't matter if he just ate, doesn't matter if mommy is working hard to get dinner done, and it really doesn't matter if you are stuck in the middle of traffic and 15 minutes late for an appointment without a food stop in sight. "Mom, I'm hungry."
