Chip and Joanna Gaines St. Jude Dining Room Makeover

Chip and Joanna's Surprise St. Jude Makeover Will Warm Your Heart

One of the reasons Chip and Joanna Gaines chose to collaborate with retail giant Target on their home line Hearth & Hand With Magnolia was because of the ability they would have to help sick children through Target House. It's a free and welcoming residence for the families of children being treated at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Chip has already demonstrated his devotion to the cause by following through on his pledge to shave his hair off in return for donations.

Now, the couple is helping in another way: by lending their design expertise. The HGTV stars transformed the once-generic cafeteria-like space into a welcoming modern farmhouse eatery that could be straight out of an episode of Fixer Upper. Featuring artwork made by St. Jude children and using items from their Target collection, the look is signature Gaines, complete with white subway tile, sliding barn doors, and black industrial accents. "We really wanted to make sure this space felt like 'home away from home,'" Joanna says in the video.
