Jessie James Decker's Potty-Training Photo Removed
Jessie James Decker Shares Sweet Potty-Training Photo Only to Have It Removed by Instagram
![]()
Like many proud parents do, Jessie James Decker excitedly posted a photo of her almost 1-year-old daughter, Vivianne, sitting on her training potty on Instagram this week. Within a matter of minutes, the photo was taken down, and the country singer and reality star received a message explaining that someone had reported her picture as inappropriate so the site had felt the need to remove it (though it has since been restored). The post, seen below, didn't show any nudity — it was just an innocent photo of a girl and her friend learning to use the potty.
But rather than let it slide, Jessie decided to test the system. She reposted one of Kim Kardashian's nude selfies, writing, "Soooo this is appropriate but my daughter going potty on her potty with nothing showing is flagged as inappropriate??? Wow instagram. Wow." Needless to say, the post stayed up.
So she tried posting her photo one more time, only to have it removed again.
The star then switched over to Twitter, putting the image up there until Instagram reinstated her photo. And while this would seem like a one-off incident, it's a situation that's all too familiar in the parenting community. Breastfeeding moms routinely see their nursing selfies removed from Facebook and Instagram based on the companies' community standards. Though Facebook has become more lenient in the arena, the company still routinely removes breastfeeding photos that it deems offensive. Take a look at the photos Jessie shared above. Do you find them inappropriate for social media?
