Apparently, being a dad has been top of mind for Prince Harry for quite some time. "I've longed for kids since I was very, very young. And so I'm waiting to find the right person, someone who's willing to take on the job," he told ABC News back in 2012.

In 2016, Meghan opened up to Lifestyle magazine about her life, career, and future family. "I also dream to have a family," she explained. "It's all about balance, and I have so much happiness in my career and am fortunate to travel the world and see so many amazing things — it will also be nice to be anchored to something grounded and in the same place." She continued, saying that, "Raising a family will be a wonderful part of that."

In an interview with Best Health Canada via Harper's Bazaar in April 2016, Meghan explained that becoming a mom was on her "bucket list," before adding that "I can't wait to start a family, but in due time."

Despite being constantly in the spotlight, Prince Harry wants his children to lead a normal life. So much so, he told Newsweek back in 2017 that giving his future little ones a little privacy is a priority for him. "I am determined to have a relatively normal life, and if I am lucky enough to have children, they can have one too."

In April 2017, Prince Harry was a guest on The Telegraph's Mad World podcast, where he explained that he was "looking forward" to the possibility of becoming a dad, later adding, "I would love to have kids."

As soon as Prince Harry welcomed his first son into the world, he was quick to compliment his wife. "It's been the most amazing experience I can ever possibly imagine," he said of witnessing his son being born. "How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension." He added: "Absolutely incredible. I'm so incredibly proud of my wife." Aw, how sweet!

Although the royal couple have only stepped out with their newborn son once, Meghan said she's enjoying every moment of motherhood. "It's magic, it's pretty amazing," she told the press on her family's first photo shoot. "I have the two best guys in the world, so I'm really happy." The 37-year-old mom also said her son couldn't be sweeter. "He has the sweetest temperament, he's really calm, and he's just been a dream, so it's been a special couple days."

During the same interview, Harry explained that he's eager to see how his son grows over time. "Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks. We're basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month, really. His looks are changing every single day, so who knows?" He said, adding that: "Parenting is amazing. It's only been two-and-a-half days, three days, but we're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy and be able to spend some precious times with him as he slowly starts to grow up."
