We've seen plenty of parents shaming their kids for their poor behavior, and their actions usually get mixed reviews. But one mom is earning praise after her Facebook post went viral.
When Kyesha Smith Wood dropped her three kids off at a local movie theater to see Cinderella, she expected it to be just like any other night. But when she picked them up, her son told her that her daughter and stepdaughter's behavior was so disruptive that they were reprimanded by a fellow moviegoer. See her post below:
The post went viral immediately, receiving more than 200,000 "likes" and more than 40,000 shares. Commenters heralded Wood for taking action and for her parenting skills. And the post eventually made its way to Rebecca Boyd, the mother from the movie theater.
". . . After I read it, I was touched that she cared how her kids behaved," Boyd told Alabama.com. "You don't see that a lot these days."
Wood's actions, and her punishment for her daughters, continue to earn praise — even by the local police department.
What do you think of this mom's way of handling the situation?
