Sandra Bullock had an unexpected emotional moment at the 2018 Oscars. In a red carpet interview with Access, the 53-year-old actress said she was overcome with emotion while meeting the cast of Black Panther and thinking about the film's importance to young people of color, like her 8-year-old adopted son, Louis.

"I just was behind the Black Panther cast. I started to cry backstage when I was telling them how much the film meant to me as a woman, but how much it meant to me as a mother," Sandra said. "I started crying! I was like, 'Oh my god! What am I doing?' That says a lot about where we are in this world and in the world of superheroes."

Sandra admitted that her son hasn't seen the movie yet since he's a little too young for some of the more violent scenes, but she'll probably let him see it in about a year. As for her 5-year-old daughter, Laila, Sandra definitely thinks she's too young. "My daughter — heck no! She'll stab my son after she sees it," Sandra joked.

Sandra added that she is so thankful to Marvel for the historic movie. Sharing a touching anecdote, Sandra said, "About five years ago, my son asked me if there were any brown Legos. I said, 'Yes, there are,' and I got a Sharpie and I turned Spider-Man brown, I turned the Legos brown, and I don't have to turn them brown anymore." Watch the interview below.
