Amy Schumer Gives IVF Update After Asking Fans For Advice: "I Feel Incredibly Lucky"

Amy Schumer is taking the next step in her fertility journey, and she wants to thank the followers who gave her advice in a time of need. Recently, the 38-year-old comedian (and mom of 8-month-old Gene) shared a vulnerable Instagram post detailing her first week of IVF treatment. Two days later, she posted a quick update on her feed to share what she learned.

"We are gonna freeze embryos hopefully," she wrote on Instagram. "I learned to eat salty food after and drink Gatorade. Ice the area. Take arnica and put arnica on the bruises. To be patient and kind to myself and that there are sooooo many of us willing to be there for each other. Your stories helped me more than you can imagine. I feel incredibly lucky. I'm really hoping this works and staying positive. Much much love!"

Amy and her husband, Chris Fischer, welcomed their first child, Gene, back in May 2019. Amy was pretty transparent as she encountered the ups and downs of pregnancy and then motherhood, and it appears she'll continue to share real-life insights in her efforts to give Gene a sibling.
