Motherhood is all about listening. No matter what I am doing or where I am, my ears are fine-tuned to my children's whereabouts. I subconsciously listen to them when I am doing laundry, writing, talking on the phone, watching TV, or even sleeping. It's what we, as moms, do. We listen. And with all this listening comes a lot of aggravation and annoyance, but it also provides little soundbites of excellence that reaffirm exactly why this mom gig is absolutely worth it.
