No — you explain to them the expected way to ask for a favor and let them know that they are capable of asking in this way. "When you let your child speak to you in a way that you wouldn’t let your partner speak to you, that you wouldn’t let a friend speak to you, that you wouldn’t let a colleague from work, someone at the grocery store, or anyone else speak to you, that’s another sign that your kid is a brat," said Glickman.
