And Now Presenting: Kamala Harris Wearing Converse on the Campaign Trail Like a Damn Boss
Kitten heels and muted pumps? Psh, Kamala Harris is rocking Converse on the campaign trail, and we absolutely love her for it. During a trip to Milwaukee on Monday, the Democratic vice presidential nominee kept things cool, casual, and comfy by sporting black low-top Chuck Taylor All Stars with a navy blazer, dark-wash skinny jeans, and a black top. The unisex kicks are an approachable choice, ringing up at just 50 bucks per pair, but they also show she's not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get sh*t done. Quite the apt pick for a day of meeting with business owners and union leaders, if we do say so ourselves.
The pick didn't go unnoticed, either. Kamala offered a peek at her campaigning 'fit on social media, captioning a video of her disembarking a plane with: "All laced up and ready to win." As soon as the clip hit Twitter, supporters far and wide couldn't help but dole out praise for her classic sneaker choice — with some even hoping for a Kamala Harris x Converse sneaker collaboration in the future.
Particularly dedicated supporters were quick to note that this isn't the first time the VP candidate has repped our boy Chuck T. while out and about. She has quite a few pairs stowed away in her closet, as she told The Cut back in 2018. "I have a whole collection of Chuck Taylors: a black leather pair, a white pair, I have the kind that don't lace, the kind that do lace, the kind I wear in the hot weather, the kind I wear in the cold weather, and the platform kind for when I'm wearing a pantsuit." We love to hear it.
Ahead, take a closer look at Kamala's latest Converse moment, and then check out the Biden-Harris campaign's new line of affordable designer merch that's now available to shop online.
