Maya Rudolph Nails Her SNL Return as Kamala Harris, in the Senator's Signature Sneakers, No Less

Maya Rudolph is stepping into Sen. Kamala Harris's shoes once again for Saturday Night Live. Maya, a former SNL cast member, made her return to 30 Rockefeller Plaza on Oct. 3 to reprise her role as the Democratic vice presidential nominee. Naturally, she dressed the part.

In real life, Kamala has quite the sneaker collection going on and she frequently slips into some Converse for campaign events. Maya channeled that casual and practical energy into her cold-open cameo with Jim Carrey and Alec Baldwin, proving she's laced up and ready to win while delivering iconic lines like, "America needs a WAP — woman as president. But for now I'll settle for HVPIC — hot vice president in charge." You tell 'em Kamala, er, we mean, Maya! Check out the skit, and the low-top sneaker moment, ahead.
