Naomi Campbell Called on Some Very Famous Friends For Her Fashion For Relief Show

Naomi Campbell has taken her Fashion for Relief runway show all over the world, to major cities like New York City and Cannes, Moscow and Mumbai. But this year the legendary model brought the annual fundraising event back to her native London, taking over the British Museum in Bloomsbury, because if you're Naomi Campbell, you get to go big and go home.

Started in 2005, Campbell's Fashion for Relief charity gala has helped raise millions of dollars for a variety of good causes, whether that's in the form of disaster relief after climate-related events like Hurricane Katrina and the earthquakes in Haiti, to humanitarian efforts including mental health and the fight against Ebola. Most recently, Fashion for Relief has joined forces with Save the Children in an effort to provide food, shelter, and medical treatment to children in need around the world. And for her homecoming 2019 show — in addition to being sponsored by Chrome Hearts and Gucci — Campbell has partnered with both the Mayor's Fund for London and UNICEF to raise money for disadvantaged children in London and across the UK.

Per usual, the charitable catwalk show was a star-studded event both on and off the runway. Backstage, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and hairstylist Johnnie Sapong were in charge of dreaming up the rock 'n roll-inspired beauty looks for the models to wear down on the catwalk. As for who those models were? The 60-plus cast list featured top British catwalkers Stella Maxwell, Leomie Anderson, and Erin O'Connor, as well as model-of-the-moment Adut Akech and various British artists and influencers.

In addition to Campbell's mom (who stopped backstage for a little pre-show zhuzhing), rapper Eve, British Vogue editor in chief Edward Enniful, and actress Naomie Harris were among the guests sitting front row and attending the post-auction dinner — all of whom took the opportunity to break out their most glamorous attire.
