I am all in on the puffer-jacket trend — I love the idea of wearing something that feels like I'm snuggled up in a sleeping bag but actually appears to be stylish. I was shocked to open Old Navy's site only to find a bunch of cute options that look just like several designer releases I've been coveting for months. Oh, and they're all on sale, too, so the price slashing just goes on and on.
Of all the puffers I've tried, this Old Navy Water-Resistant Double-Breasted Puffer Jacket ($52, originally $65, plus extra 20 percent off at checkout) is my favorite by a landslide. I am often between a medium and a large, and I took a large in this piece — it's a little oversize, and I love the look. It comes in sizes XS-4X.
You can wear it open with the front folded down or button it all the way to the top for a funnel neck. I wore this jacket to get coffee with a friend on a rainy day, and I'm pleased to report it kept me completely dry. Also, I got two compliments on it within just a few hours — I think I'm totally fooling everyone with my fancy coat that's actually quite affordable.
