The wedding of Georgiana Cavendish (Keira Knightley) and William Cavendish (Ralph Fiennes) takes place in secret to avoid throngs of onlookers, so costume designer Michael O'Connor chose a dress with the "understated simplicity of a traditional 18th century wedding."
