Nike Epic Lux Flash Running Tights

Nike Epic Lux Flash Running Tights

As soon as I slipped on this pair of Nike Epix Lux Flash Running Tights ($150), I knew I'd found my new favorite Winter leggings. Incredibly comfortable and thick enough to keep you warm when the temperatures drop, the tights have a wide waistband that hits a little higher than your hips for flattering coverage. With two small waistband pockets and cute dotted design that doubles as highly reflective detailing so you can be seen on the road, these leggings are going to be my motivation to get out there during the dark, cold months.

Lifefactory Cafe Collection Bottle

Lifefactory Cafe Collection Bottle

I like taking my hot bevvie with me in the morning and I just started using the Cafe Collection from Lifefactory. The BPA-free glass bottle is insulated with a puffy sleeve that keeps my coffee warm and my hands cool. The bottle's lid has a safe-sipping cap that opens and closes easily with one hand. Both the 12-ounce ($25) and 16-ounce ($27) bottles fit into a standard water-bottle bike cage, so you can cycle with warm tea on a cool day. Best of all, the bottle and the sleeve are dishwasher safe.

Vionic Upton Booties

Vionic Upton Booties

I was a little wary of rocking a pair of orthopedic shoes, but Vionic's Upton Ankle Booties ($160) have totally changed the game for me. These sleek and stylish booties have a nice chunky heel, and I've never worn a pair of more comfortable shoes. You literally would not be able to tell that they're equipped with serious technology and orthotic functionality until you slip them on for yourself — I had no idea how cruel I was being to my feet. I walked up and down SF hills for 45 minutes the first time I ever slipped them on without any pain or a pesky break-in period. I have barely taken them off since.

KT Tape ProX Patches

KT Tape ProX Patches

Ever since my first bout with runner's knee (after an ill-advised decision to ramp up my mileage too quickly while training for my first marathon), I've been a fan of KT Tape. It offers support for my knee where I need it most; I never run a half- or full marathon without it. These KT Tape ProX Patches ($20 for 15) are a quick way for me to get the benefits of taping without worrying about cutting and measuring. The plus-shaped patches are easy to grab when I'm going out the door. I use them on the sides of my knee for extra support during longer runs or as pain relief for calf cramps, but you can pretty much use them anywhere and also add regular KT tape strips for more support.

TRX Home Suspension Trainer

TRX Home Suspension Trainer

The TRX ($170) may seem like old news, but I had never tried one, and now it is my absolute favorite piece of equipment in my home gym. It's simple, really — just two adjustable straps with handles attached that you attach to a closed door. It takes bodyweight exercises to a whole new level! I'm firing up muscles I don't think I've ever worked, in way less time than regular workouts, and it takes less than a minute to set up. I've even been using it to build core and upper-body strength in order to lift into a handstand. It's perfect for working out at home and to stick in your suitcase, so even if you go away for Thanksgiving, you have no excuses!

All Good Provisions Maple Roasted Cashews

All Good Provisions Maple Roasted Cashews

I nearly inhaled my bag of these maple roasted cashews ($6) from All Good Provisions. They're the perfect blend of salty and sweet without a ton of sugar per serving. They're tasty on their own, but I've been loving them on top of my rolled oats in the morning. Just be warned: you're going to want to eat the whole bag once they arrive. They're that good.

Mizuno Wave Inspire 12

Mizuno Wave Inspire 12

If you're looking for an ultracomfy, super supportive running shoe, the Mizuno Wave Inspire 12 ($120) is my new favorite. They felt instantly awesome the moment I slipped them on, and my first run was like I was wearing a broken-in pair — they felt perfect. They offer just the right amount of support and stability for arches, are lightweight, and offer great traction on both pavement and trails. Plus my toes felt warm enough on a chilly 30-degree run. I'm in love with the vibrant and bold purple color, but they also come in red.

Clif Bar Holiday Flavors

Clif Bar Holiday Flavors

Before early-morning workouts or in the middle of a long bike ride, I often reach for a Clif Bar. I have my regular go-to flavors, but my favorites by far are the seasonal holiday offerings. The flavors are spot on. Hot Chocolate really tastes a cup of cocoa, marshmallows and all. Spiced Pumpkin Pie has all the flavors of its Thanksgiving dessert namesake. Iced Gingerbread is gingery, sweet, and frankly delicious. All three taste more like treats than energy bars. These flavors sell out fast, so look for them on the shelves of your local grocery store or REI. And at $1.40 a bar, you can stock up on your favorites to last you well into the New Year.
