Gabby Douglas Is More Ready Than Ever For Her Second Olympic Games

At just 20 years old, Gabby Douglas has cemented herself as an Olympic icon — and with only two decades of life under her belt, she's now at the second Olympic Games of her career.

Gabby started gymnastics when she was six and rose to stardom quickly, eventually becoming the first African-American gymnast to win the individual all-around event at the Olympics. Hailing from Virginia, the 5-foot-2-inch phenom trained for years in Iowa before making her way west to Los Angeles. Now, she's helping take Team USA's incredible women's gymnastics team to the podium for gold — again. With the help of fellow veteran Aly Raisman and the power of first-time Olympians Laurie Hernandez, Simone Biles, and Madison Kocian, the team is looking absolutely unstoppable.

She's Always Been a Record Breaker

Gabby was the first black gymnast to win an individual Olympic gold medal. On top of that, Gabby is also the first American gymnast to win gold in both the individual all-around and team competitions at the same Olympics.
