Brand new to the Beats collection, BeatsX ($150) offers up to eight hours of battery life, so you can essentially walk a marathon and still have some juice left in your headphones to listen to music. Thanks to a new feature called RemoteTalk, you can take calls, play music, and activate Siri from your buds, making for a more distraction-free workout. They're debuting this Fall and will be available in multiple colors on Apple.com and in Apple stores.

POM Gear SPORT Pro2GO ($20, originally $50) has a wraparound function to keep the buds securely in place, no matter where and how you're moving. They're also sweat-proof and noise-reducing, meaning you can really focus on your workout, distraction-free.

These Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless Headphones ($200) are one of the most subtle ways you can integrate heart rate tracking into your fitness routine. These HRM earbuds will help you track your workout while listening to your favorite tunes wirelessly.

These Bose SoundSport Wireless Headphones ($150) are sweat- and weather-resistant, meaning they can withstand a supersweaty cardio sesh or a run in the rain. With six hours of battery life, you'll definitely get through a long run (or two), while the "StayHear+ Sport tips create a gentle seal" to improve sound quality and secure the buds in place in your ear.

The next iteration of my favorite headphones arrives this Fall. Powerbeats3 Wireless Headphones ($200) provide "improved ergonomics" for a better fit around your ear (that's saying a lot, given that the Powerbeats2 were great to begin with!). The big upgrade is that they're sweat- and water-resistant, so you'll have a dependable piece of equipment you don't have to worry about damaging with a regular old workout. With a 12-hour extended battery life and the new RemoteTalk feature (as noted above), these are the Ferrari of sport headphones. Keep an eye on Apple.com and Apple stores, as they'll be launching this Fall in white, black, red, yellow, and blue.

The LG FR74 HRM Earphones ($180) are another great HRM tracking option; these buds give you real-time information onto your phone screen or via audio, so you can know exactly how your body is doing while you're pushing through an intense workout while listening to your gym playlist.

Another fine pair debuting this season are the Zipbuds Cataylst Wireless Sport Earbuds ($150). With a "high intensity fitness lock," the structure of this sweat-proof earbud was "anatomically designed" to keep the earphone locked in place without a wraparound feature. Of all the headphones we've seen, these also have the longest battery life, with 15 hours of play and talk time, and they come in a gorgeous white and rose gold color combo.
