Barre is a ballet-inspired workout that continues to be in high demand among boutique-fitness-industry-goers. With the barre world showing no signs of slowing down as more balletic and nontraditional variations pop up around the United States and beyond, weeding through the best barre studios across the nation will help stretching, pulsing, and sweaty-sock-wearing women everywhere find their quintessential barre tribe, something I know all about as the cofounder of the New York-based yoga-barre studio and community space Shaktibarre. With the help of instructors James Rose, Samantha Aviles, Emily Ho, and Paige Hexton, here are the top studios we've visited that are now on our relevé radars.
