The New Adidas Wanderlust Collection Has Pieces Made Entirely From Ocean Plastic

Adidas is doing a whole lot with its latest collection. The brand just revealed its Spring/Summer 2018 collection in partnership with Wanderlust, a company known for its wildly popular yoga festivals. The expansive range is ideally meant to be worn for yoga, but it's actually inspired by the ocean and vintage surf gear. Not only that, but much of it is made from recycled materials, including upcycled ocean plastic. This material was made from plastic waste collected from beaches before it had a chance to pollute the ocean.

"We know our community of women are extremely passionate about environmental care," said the senior director of Adidas Women's, Alison Stewart, in a press statement. "Now, in our product they can make a difference to their practice and the planet at the same time." The collection was unveiled with a stunning campaign shot in Cape Town, South Africa, featuring yoga instructors Chelsey Korus, Adriene Mishler, Clio Pajczer, and Angelique Fredericks.

The collection's standout outfit (seen above) — the Parley Wanderlust Crop Top ($40) and Parley Wanderlust Tight ($75) — is made entirely from ocean plastic, while other items in the collection are made from environmentally friendly fabrics. With prices ranging from $20 to $120, the entire collection will be available on March 1 both online and in select stores.
