Target's Selling Gluten-Free, Protein-Packed Pizzas, and Keto Dieters Are Obsessed
As if we possibly needed another reason to obsess over Target, the retailer is now selling frozen thin-crust pizzas that are low-carb, certified gluten-free, AND jam-packed with tons of protein. Yep, they're basically a keto dieter's dream come true.
These 9-inch frozen pies from the heavens hail from Quest Nutrition and come in three different flavors: Four-Cheese, Uncured Pepperoni, and Supreme, the last of which contains pepperoni, Italian sausage, mozzarella and Romano cheeses, bell peppers, and black olives. Yum! Each flavor contains 20-28 grams of protein per every third- or half-pizza serving size, depending on which flavor you pick (and, yes, that means you'll get anywhere from 54 to 60 grams of protein if you treat yourself to an entire pie!). Oh, and each flavor only has 17-24 grams of total carbs (and 5-6 grams of net carbs) ā much less than traditional pizza. If you're on the keto diet, you can still enjoy; just make sure you stick to the serving size and are adhering to your daily target of 50 grams of carbs or less a day.
Ever since Quest Nutrition's gluten-free pizzas hit the shelves at Target stores, they've gotten pretty raving reviews from shoppers.
