10 High-Waist Leggings and Shorts That Won't Slip During Your Next Workout

I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine who, much like myself, works out at least four times a week. Now that we're both testing out more at-home workouts, we agreed upon two things in the fitness world neither of us can stand: burpees (seriously, why are they so awful?) and workout bottoms that ride down. In addition to my intense fear of an instructor yelling, "Time for burpees!" I cannot stand when I'm in the middle of a workout and my pants start to slide down.

With all my moving and jumping — and attempted burpees — the last thing I need is to pause quickly and pull up my pants. Not only is it embarrassing out in the real world to be in the middle of a class or run and have to slink over to the side to pull up my pants, but it's also a major endorphin buzzkill. That's precisely why I've completely revamped my workout closet to include high-waist bottoms. With a higher waistband, I'm left feeling held in place, compressed in all the right places, and free to move about without fear of pulling and tugging.

Take a peek at 10 leggings and shorts from Under Armour made for high-waist-lovers. Next time you're streaming a workout class or on a run, slinking pants will be the last thing on your mind.
