In the 1994 Winter Olympic Games, figure skaters Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding were at the top of their game. The competitive nature of the sport, as well as socio-economic factors (as the film argues), created a fierce rivalry between the two, and resulted in a scandal that shocked the world.
