The temperatures are dropping, footballs are flying, and Fall is absolutely upon us. The epitome of Fall is making the transition from iced coffee to hot beverages, and while some people may go all-out with pumpkin-flavored hot drinks, Tim Hortons has unveiled a jaw-dropping new menu item to welcome the cooler months — a Buffalo Latte.
Yes, you read that correctly. The Canada-based fast food company has introduced a spicy buffalo-sauce-flavored latte to wake you up and get your stomach rumbling. Whether the mere thought of combining buffalo wings with coffee makes you salivate or induces a bit of nausea, one thing is for sure: this is perfect for early-morning tailgating.
According to a press release from the company, the Buffalo Latte will only be available at two Tim Hortons locations in Buffalo, NY, made with "freshly brewed espresso, steamed milk, mocha, and bold buffalo sauce flavor." The latte is then topped with whipped cream and spicy buffalo seasoning.
As for how it tastes, Stephen Goldstein, regional president of Tim Hortons US, said, "The unlikely pairing of sweet mocha and tangy buffalo sauce come together to create an unexpectedly delicious sweet and spicy treat we hope our guests will enjoy."
Tim Hortons has pretty delicious coffee (oooh, and those doughnuts!), but this crazy hybrid sounds like it may only appeal to those die-hard buffalo chicken fans.
