Dulce Candy's Interview in Parents Latina

Dulce Candy on Self-Love: I've Learned to Love the Little Girl I Used to Be, and Who I Am Today"

On planning for the future: "We've always wanted a big family, but we've been trying to give Izek a brother or sister for 5 years now. That's been hard. Everything looks good health-wise, and we're young still, so I think it's going to happen when the time is right. In the meantime, we've started the process to become foster parents. I know I'll be happy with any child God wants to put in my life."

On what she envisions for her channel: "With all that's happening in the world lately, it's become harder for me to sit in my room and talk about makeup. I'm struggling with that a little bit. I don't exactly know where my life is headed next, but I do know that in two years, my channel will probably look totally different. Whatever happens, I know this: Life is too short to not fulfill your dreams."

While she frequently offers beauty tips and tricks to her two million YouTube subscribers, at home, Dulce Candy offers life advice to one very special person — her son. Long before she was a beauty vlogger, however, Dulce served in the military and actually met her husband while they were both on active duty in Kuwait. Now, in a new interview with Parents Latina for the magazine's Winter 2016 issue, Dulce is reflecting on her 5-year-old son, Izek, how she views tutorials as an expressive outlet, and her immigration story.

Look ahead for gorgeous pictures of Dulce and Izek, as well as a sweet behind-the-scenes video from the shoot.
