Soccer Star Neymar Jr. Just Announced His Next Career Move: Music

Brazilian soccer star Neymar Jr., who plays on both his native country's gold-medal-winning national team and FC Barcelona (alongside Lionel Messi), took to Instagram on Sept. 11 to announce his latest career move. And it has nothing to do with soccer.

"Galera, quarta eu começo minha carreira musical e vou lançar a 1ª música no meu face. Vai ter #Neymusico nos palcos sim. Cola lá," the superfit forward penned, letting his fans know to look out for his first single on Wednesday, Sept. 14, using the hashtag #Neymusico.

Though the news of Neymar's musical ambitions might seem like it came out of left field, Billboard reminded us that he has been showing interest in the entertainment industry for a while when it resurfaced his "El Perdon" jam session with Dani Alves and his onstage appearance with Michel Teló. Nonetheless, we can't wait to hear his very own song later this week!
