If You're Not Already One of Paulo Londra's Millions of Fans, You're About to Be

Paulo Londra is up for a 2019 Latin Grammy Award for best new artist, but the 21-year-old rapper is already a huge sensation in Argentina. Paulo has come a long way from idolizing Eminem and freestyling contests in his hometown of Córdoba. He now has over 14 million monthly listeners on Spotify, 7.1 million followers on Instagram, and over 14 million subscribers on YouTube. Songs from Homerun, his first studio album released in 2019, topped Billboard's Hot 100 in Argentina.
I've fallen for Paulo's raspy voice, chill attitude, and down-to-earth personality. (It is not uncommon that Paulo comments on his YouTube videos himself to thank listeners for their love and support.) "Nothing on You" by Ed Sheeran feat. Paulo Londra and Dave
Released in August 2019, Paulo hit the UK pop market with the release of Ed Sheeran's music video for "Nothing on You." In the video Ed, Paulo, and British rapper Dave are filmed performing in a cool old warehouse. The trio can also be seen riding bikes together through the streets of London at night, and the video includes some awesome aerial city views. Ed kicks things off, but Paulo's rap comes in after the first minute.
"Tal Vez"
Paulo makes a supermarket look cool in the music video for "Tal Vez," which is from his latest album Homerun. The video features a mascot, a romance, and Paulo and his crew roaming through the aisles of a supermarket rapping about love.
"Por Eso Vine"
In "Por Eso Vine," Paulo plays the director who flips the script on a love story. The woman in the video is in a bad relationship, so Paulo sets her up with someone who appreciates her. The feminist in me would have liked to see a more modern take with the woman saving herself from the bad relationship, but it's still a great video.
"Cuando Te Besé" by Becky G and Paulo Londra
The video for "Cuando Te Besé" starts with Paulo and Becky G. eying each other from across the room and ends up being one of Paulo's more sensual videos. Despite the steaminess, Paulo keeps his laid-back style, and his rap kicks in toward the end, close to the third minute.
"Party" by Paulo Londra feat. A Boogie Wit da Hoodie
Paulo's most recent video "Party" features A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and was released in September of this year. At the beginning of the video, Paulo wakes up on the roof of a house with only a casino chip in his pocket. The rest of the video shows us what went down the night before, which was a Summer house party with drinks, gambling, friends, and dancing. According to Paulo's instagram, the video was filmed in New York. Hopefully, it's the start of Paulo's increased presence in the US!
