Netflix Got Drew Barrymore to Help This Guy Plan an Epic Surprise Proposal
After being together for nearly six years, Conor Netflix-and-proposed to his girlfriend Kamela by enlisting the help of the streaming site. Since the couple watched Netflix on their very first date, it was only right that it came full circle. Netflix even hooked it up and brought Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant — the stars of Kamela's favorite show, Santa Clarita Diet — in on the action.
Conor and Netflix arranged an elaborate plan to trick Kamela into thinking she was on a reality show with her boyfriend and set the TV up in the living room, where they watched an "exclusive video" called Keeping Love Alive With Sheila and Joel. Just when Kamela thought she was enjoying marriage secrets from the TV couple, Conor unexpectedly showed up on the screen: "First of all, Kamela, surprise. Second of all, I have a question for you."
The real Conor then turned to his girlfriend to pop the question and she immediately broke into tears. "It's been awesome being your boyfriend. But if you're cool with it, I'd rather be your husband."
Kamela of course said yes, and the pair were congratulated by Drew and Timothy on screen. See how Conor and Netflix pulled it off in the video below!
