Bernie Sanders Quotes From CNN Town Hall Meeting 2016
Bernie Sanders Finally Says What Many of Us Are Thinking About Donald Trump
On Jan. 9, Bernie Sanders spoke to voters of varying political parties at a town hall meeting sponsored by CNN and hosted by Chris Cuomo. During the session, Sanders touched on topics like the reported Russian hacking, whether he'll run again in 2020, and Donald Trump's cabinet picks.
Throughout his own presidential campaign and following the election, Sanders has been outspoken about his mistrust of the president-elect. At the town hall, he elaborated on that sentiment when he said, "I am not the only person to say this. There are Republicans who say this. We are dealing with a man who, in many respects, is — how can I phrase this? — a pathological liar."

In the clip, shown above, the Vermont senator made a point to note that his mistrust of Trump goes beyond just party politics. He said, "I have many conservative friends that I disagree with but they're not liars. They have their point of view. Time after time after time, he says stuff which is blatantly and absolutely untrue."
Another moment from the meeting when Sanders was asked if he's considering running for president again in 2020 is quickly picking up steam online. Based on his response, it's unlikely we'll get an answer soon. "It is much too early to be talking about that. What we have got to worry about is how we deal with the issues that impact us today," he said before speaking out how many Trump supporters believe in Democratic values and later adding, "Don't worry about who's going to run for president. Worry about all of you getting involved in the political process." Watch his full impassioned response below.
