Since Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon first took the stage as Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, there has been certainly plenty of material for Saturday Night Live to satirize. The most recent show opened with a hysterical parody of the second presidential debate. Within the first minute, the moderators (played by Cecily Strong and Alex Moffat) took a shot and preemptively declared Clinton the next president. But the entire segment was full of zingers about Trump's lurking behind Clinton during the debate, how he invited women who accused Bill Clinton of assault, the internet's obsession with Ken Bone, and, of course, the Trump tapes.
Baldwin also nailed the double standard surrounding Trump and his inability to give a straight answer about the sexual assault accusations against him. Baldwin as Trump said Bill Clinton's accusers should not be silenced, but when asked about the women who have accused him of assault, he said, "They need to shut the hell up." There's one final debate on Wednesday, so we can't wait to see what SNL comes up with next week.
