Silk Sonic made their American Music Awards debut on Sunday night, and even better, they opened the show! Per usual, the group put on a showstopping performance as they performed their latest single "Smokin Out the Window." The soulful group scored three nominations this year — including favorite music video and favorite pop duo or group. By the end of the night, Silk Sonic took home the award for favorite R&B song with their No. 1 hit "Leave the Door Open."

The dynamic duo made a huge splash at the Grammy Awards this year with their incredible performance of "Leave the Door Open," and we, of course, couldn't get enough of it, which is why they delivered encore performances of their No. 1 hit at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards and the 2021 BET Awards. And after months of teasing their debut album — hosted by funk legend Bootsy Collins — Silk Sonic finally released An Evening With Silk Sonic on Nov. 19. The nine-track album was met with much praise, and now fans are just patiently waiting for the tour dates to drop. Ahead, check out a snippet of their American Music Awards performance.
