Simply Tuesday: Small-Moment Living in a Fast-Moving World by Emily P. Freeman
It has been said that Emily Freeman "creates a space for souls to breathe" on her blog. That is what she has also achieved with her book Simply Tuesday. She defines her latest release as a way to disentangle your life from the hustle. Doing more and dreaming bigger can be inspirational, but it can also be overwhelming and anxiety-inducing. Freeman strongly believes that we need to focus on the smaller moments in life. Freeman explains how she has made major life changes in order to slow down and appreciate more:
"It's easy for me to get tangled up in a fast-paced world, obsessed with outcomes and distracted by hustle. But sometimes I think we can become so driven to plan for our lives that we forget how to actually live our lives.
What's good for my schedule is often suffocating for my soul. While hustling through life may make me productive, it doesn't truly bring me joy, connection, or offer real hope. And isn't that what most of us long for?
Slowing down and embracing the small moments is work, sometimes more than I realize. But hope can't be held by hurried hands. It takes time to grow, space to see, and courage to wait for. That doesn't come from barreling through my task list. It comes from being where I am right now, receiving each moment as a gift, and doing the next right thing in love."
