Apple Hopes a Victoria's Secret Model Will Make You Buy the Apple Watch

The Apple Watch will soon grace its first US magazine cover on the wrist of Victoria's Secret angel and official beautiful person Candice Swanepoel. The shot for Self Magazine's March issue features the least expensive "Sport" version, which will sell for $349. The message: if you want a body like Candice, consider the watch and its health-tracking capabilities. When discussing why the Apple Watch is the perfect accessory for a supermodel, Swanepoel said, "I'm an athlete. I use every single muscle, especially my core and arms, when I pose. It's so important for me to feel strong!"

Back in October 2014, a full six months before the Apple Watch's expected April 2015 release date, it debuted on the cover of Chinese Vogue. The gorgeous model Liu Wen definitely made it look more chic than geek. It's apparent Apple is not content with simply appealing to nerdy, early adopters with its take on the smartwatch. And the company clearly thinks the early hype will work: it reportedly ordered five to six million units.
