Kanye West's Video Game Idea

Kanye West's Video Game Idea Is Strange, Yet Touching

Kanye West, not content with working in the music and fashion industries alone, wants to launch a video game. (He's following in the footsteps of his wife, Kim Kardashian, who is the face of an insanely addictive and successful iPhone game.) While it's not your average proposal, we have to say it's pretty touching, since it has to do with his late mom. The rapper shared the news during a radio interview that caught attention for the other crazy things Kanye said. Here's how he explained the concept:

"So right now I'm working on a video game for 'Only One.' The idea is, it's my mother going through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light. We've been working on it for like six months."

Kanye's mom, Donda West, tragically died in 2007 following complications from plastic surgery. Her famous son has honored her memory in various ways, including his recent collaboration with Paul McCartney titled "Only One." The song is sung through the perspective of Donda West as a message to Kanye and Kim's daughter, North. It's unlikely his video game will make as much money as Kim's, but we're guessing the purpose is more therapeutic than commercial.
