Just When We Thought Chris Evans Couldn't Get Any More Lovable, He Does This

Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson may have just proved that they're Captain America and Black Widow in real life. The Avengers stars took a USO tour to meet with troops from Afghanistan, Qatar, and Turkey at the Bagram Airfield on Dec. 7, where Chris expressed his gratitude for their service by posting a heartwarming photo on his Twitter page. "ENDLESS thanks to all the soldiers . . . Your sacrifice is heroism defined," he wrote. Later on, the two actors hosted a 20-minute Q&A with the servicemen and servicewomen, which included everything from Scarlett emotionally telling them that it was "such an incredibly touching experience" to be there to Chris joking about his size. "I am nowhere near my filming size. If one more soldier tells me how small I look, I'm just going to kill myself," he laughed. "I haven't started working out; this is the walking-around weight."

The duo happily posed for photos (and flexed their biceps) with the soldiers and hammered home the fact that both were exceptionally grateful for all that they do. "It's been so fantastic to meet you and really see what you have to go through," Chris said. "I play a soldier, but I've never actually spent real time with people who are stationed far from their homes to understand the sacrifices made. So for me, not only is it fulfilling as an actor, but as a man it really is a wonderful thing. I have so much respect for you guys. Thank you for making us feel right at home."
