Demi Lovato Goes Fully Nude For an Inspiring Vanity Fair Photo Shoot

Demi Lovato has been promoting her upcoming album, Confident, ahead of its Oct. 16 release, and in addition to posing for a supersexy recent spread in Complex, the 23-year-old singer bared all for a beautifully inspiring Vanity Fair photo shoot. In an interview accompanying the portraits, Demi explained her decision to spontaneously go nude for photographer Patrick Ecclesine, saying, "If there's one thing I've learned in the past day, it's that life is too short," adding, "What does it mean to be confident? It means letting go, being authentic, saying I don't give a f*ck and this is who I am. I want to show the side of me that's real, that's liberated, that's free. What if we do a photo shoot where it's totally raw? Supersexy, but no makeup, no fancy lighting, no retouching, and no clothing. Let's do it here, let's do it now."

After revealing her motive for going makeup- and clothing-free, Demi also touched on her past struggles with eating disorders. She got emotional while saying, "I basically went from hating every inch of my body to working on myself and trying to figure out ways to love myself and love the skin that I'm in." This is definitely not the first time Demi has kick-started our self-confidence. Watch the emotional sit-down and see outtakes from her photo shoot above now.
