Lucky Charms Just Gave You Permission to Put Marshmallows on Oatmeal

Take a deep breath, because this news is equal parts exciting and devastating. General Mills has just released a Lucky Charms Instant Oatmeal (crunchy marbits included!) and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Instant Oatmeal. Before you run out to your nearest grocery store, here's the catch: these limited-edition oatmeals are exclusive to Canada. According to our source at General Mills, "The products are now available at most retailers in Canada for about eight weeks. The SRP for both products in Canada is $3.49 [Canadian dollars]."

I think I speak for most Americans everywhere, when I say, we need these instant oatmeals stocked in our grocery stores, too. I'd gladly give up the frosted oat cereal in Lucky Charms for a bowl of piping-hot oatmeal topped with crunchy marbits. And though I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, I dream of the buttery, cinnamony flavors in a warm bowl of oats. I think the only thing we can do is exercise our voice by calling the General Mills Consumer Services line (1-800-248-7310) and politely begging for them to bring these flavors to America!
