12 Highlighters That Made 2017 The Most Extra Year of All Time

The Aurora Glow Kit ($24) from Anastasia Beverly Hills is one of the most extra palettes from the brand (but in the best way possible). The six-pan Glow Kit features shades that shimmer differently on various skin tones, including gold-toned shades (Eclipse, Luna, and Lyra) and slightly colored shades (Spectra, Helia, and Orion) for when you're in full-on unicorn mode.

RMS got in on 2017's rose gold moment with its Master Mixer Highlighter ($38). The luminous rosé hue can be used anywhere on the face or added to other makeup for added glow. It complements a wide range of skin tones and is made with certified organic ingredients so you can strobe without all the yucky stuff.

If you want an iridescent highlighter that won't actually make you like an actual unicorn, give Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector in Prismatic Amethyst ($38) a go. The brand, responsible for some of our favorite highlighters, released this shade, which gives your skin an opalescent glow that doesn't look chalky. It has the same rich, pigmented texture as the other Becca highlights, but with subtle flecks of pink and lavender.

Our cheekbones were shook when Huda Beauty released its first 3D highlighting palette ($45). It comes with four shades that look great on a variety of skin tones from fair to deep. We especially love the velvety texture of each color.

Speaking of rose gold highlighters, Too Faced's Love Light Prismatic Highlighter ($30) in Ray of Light is one of our favorites. The heart-shaped pan has a shimmery pigment that isn't too gold or too pink. You can lightly dust it on your face for a subtle glow or slightly mist your brush for an Instagram-approved shine.

If you can't pick between champagne, golden, and rose gold highlighter, just get all three in this Hourglass Ambient Metallic Strobe Palette ($62).
