See How This Makeup Brand Is Banning Trump Supporters From Wearing Its Lipstick

While millions of individuals have taken a stand against President Donald Trump and his controversial executive orders, top retailers like Nordstrom, T.J.Maxx, and Marshalls are doing the same. Recently, one makeup brand joined the conversation by asking customers to agree to an Anti-Fascism Pledge before purchasing any of the products. Illamasqua explained that after witnessing Trump's extreme actions it needed to take a stand.

By adding an extra step before the checkout page, the line is preventing Trump supporters from shopping on the site, stating, "we will never knowingly sell our products to people who support President Trump's values." The brand states that to be allowed to purchase the products, you must pledge to "never discriminate against race, color, nationality, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion."

Julian Kynaston, founder of Illamasqua, admitted that he and other executives aware they realistically cannot stop Trump supporters from buying their products, but they are hoping this sends a message about basic human values. "We also know that no matter how hard some people work to make themselves beautiful on the outside, make-up can never hide the ugliness inside. So please, if you don't agree with the above DON'T BUY US."

"Prejudice, sexism and racism should never be tolerated," closed the statement. "Whether you're a brand or an individual join us and, together, we can be the change we want to see."
