This Is Actually the Easiest Yet Chicest Low Bun Style You've Ever Tried

Barefoot Blonde

Hey guys, it's Amber from the blog Barefoot Blonde! I love quick and easy hairstyles that I can do when I am in a rush (because let's be honest, we are usually all in a rush when it comes to getting ready!). I also love little hacks that make a hairstyle look more polished. So today I will be showing you how to create my favorite wrap-around bun. I love this hairstyle because it's chic and can be dressed up or dressed down. I've worn it with jeans and a t-shirt and I've also worn it with a dress to a holiday party. Enjoy!

Step 1

Step 1

Start with clean, dry hair (can be straight or curled). Take a section of hair from the area near the nape of your neck. You will want a section that runs from the base of your ear to about the middle of your neck.

Step 2

Step 2

Leaving that section out, take the rest of your hair and pull it into a bun. Do this by starting with a regular ponytail — however, don't pull the hair all of the way through the last time that you wrap the hair tie around your ponytail. Pull the bun so the big loop is about half the length of the hair that hasn't been pulled all of the way through (see picture #2 for reference).

Step 3

Step 3

Take the section you left out and pull it to the right so it's under your bun. Wrap the section tightly around the hair tie. Once you get to the end of the section of hair, secure the piece with a bobby pin.

Step 4

Step 4

If you want, pull out a few pieces of hair around the face to frame your face. Lightly hairspray the final look and you're finished!
