December 2017: Kardashian and Thompson Announce They're Expecting a Child

Two months after multiple outlets, including People and Us Weekly, reported that Kardashian was pregnant, the pair announced their happy news on Instagram.

"My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby!" Kardashian gushed alongside a photo of Thompson cradling her bare belly. "I had been waiting and wondering, but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient. I still at times can't believe that our love created life! Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! Tristan, most of all, Thank you for making me a MOMMY!!!"

In March 2017, days before Thompson and Kardashian celebrated their baby-to-be at a lavish baby shower, the reality star announced on Twitter that they were expecting a baby girl.

April 2018: Thompson Is Accused of Cheating on Kardashian

Days before Kardashian was due to give birth to their daughter, Thompson was spotted with a mystery woman in New York City. In photos obtained by Daily Mail, the athlete was seen speaking closely with — or possibly kissing — the woman.

The photos were followed by videos from TMZ and The Shade Room, which showed Thompson entering an NYC hotel room with the same woman around 5 a.m. That same day, TMZ released footage from October 2017 which showed Thompson kissing one woman and inappropriately touching another during a night out at a hookah lounge near Washington D.C.

April 12, 2018: Kardashian and Thompson's Daughter, True Thompson, Is Born

Two days after news of Thompson's reported cheating made headlines, Kardashian gave birth to their daughter.

"Our little girl, True Thompson, has completely stolen our hearts and we are overwhelmed with LOVE," Kardashian announced on Instagram. "Such a blessing to welcome this angel into the family! Mommy and Daddy loooooove you True!"

May 2018 to New Year's 2019: Kardashian and Thompson Make Long Distance Work

Despite the ongoing cheating scandal surrounding Thompson, Kardashian was reportedly determined to make things work. "She is committed to keeping her family together," a source told People in May. "And Tristan has shown that he is committed to Khloé, so Khloé will make it work."

The following autumn, Thompson headed back to Cleveland to play for the Cavaliers, while Kardashian and True stayed in Los Angeles (although they often travelled to Ohio to see him).

After months of speculation over where the couple stood following the cheating scandal, Kardashian and Thompson confirmed they were still together when they rang in the new year together in Cleveland. Kardashian even posted an Instagram Story of them sharing a midnight kiss.

February to March 2019: Thompson Is Accused of Kissing Kardashian Family Friend Jordyn Woods

While it seemed that Thompson and Kardashian had overcome their hardships, the couple hit another bump when reports surfaced that the athlete had kissed Kylie Jenner's BFF, Jordyn Woods, at a party.

After Woods told her side of the story on a March 2019 episode of Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk, Kardashian spoke out on Twitter. "Why are you lying @jordynwoods ??" she wrote. "If you're going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!"

Kardashian also placed blame on Thompson, adding, "Tristan is equally to blame but Tristan is the father of my child. Regardless of what he does to me I won't do that to my daughter. In December 2021, personal trainer Maralee Nichols filed a paternity lawsuit against Tristan Thompson, claiming that he was the father of her newborn baby. If true, it would mean that the two had relations while Thompson was still in a relationship with Kardashian.

A month later, the NBA player confirmed the news on Instagram: "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. On the May 5 episode of "The Kardashians," fans learned that Thompson flew out to California to be there for Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's engagement on Oct. 17. A producer asks Kardashian how she and Thompson are doing. She tells them: "We're good. We're, actually, in a really good place. We just got back together. He's been going to therapy a lot. There's just been a lot of effort on his part." This is the first time she's publicly confirmed that she and Thompson were romantically involved in the fall of 2021.

July 2022: Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson Are Expecting Second Child

On July 13, 2022, news broke that Khloé Kardashian was expecting her second child with Tristan Thompson via a surrogate. "We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November. Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We'd like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family," a source told People.

The child, reportedly a baby boy, was conceived a month before Thompson's son was born, while Kardashian and Thompson were still together.

"Khloe kept the pregnancy a secret to protect surrogate privacy and safety," a source told E! News on July 14, "and to protect her mental health from judgement from the public as a result of Tristan's actions."

On July 14, a source told People that Kardashian wants Tristan in their second child's life. "Just like they do with True, Khloé will co-parent the baby with Tristan," the source said. "Tristan is the dad and Khloé wants him involved as much as possible. He is great with True." However, a source previously told the outlet that "Khloé and Tristan are not back together and have not spoken since December outside of co-parenting matters."

However, it was later revealed in the season four premiere of the reality show that, three weeks later, Kardashian was eager for Thompson to move out because their living situation was creating the impression that they were back together romantically when they weren't. "It's been three weeks that he'll be [living] at my house. He was supposed to be there two. I'll give him until a month before I say something . . . I need people to think I'm single," Kardashian said (via People).
