Patrick and Brittany Mahomes Talk Parenthood at the 2023 ESPYs: They've "Enjoyed Every Second"

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes turned the 2023 ESPY Awards into a glamorous date night. On Wednesday, July 12, the couple — who tied the knot in March 2022 and have two children together — attended the award ceremony in Los Angeles. The pair walked the carpet and posed happily together, Patrick in a sleek beige Hugo Boss suit accented with shimmering silver necklaces, and Brittany in an elegant Versace black dress with cutouts on the side.

Patrick credited Brittany for their stunning looks on the carpet. "I have a great stylist. Brittany Mahomes is my stylist. Brittany is the one who makes the final decision," he shared in an interview on the carpet.

The parents, who welcomed their second child in November 2022, have "enjoyed every second of" parenthood, according to Brittany, and opened up about how they're adjusting to being a family of four. "We've been traveling a lot and bringing our kids with us," Brittany said. "In the offseason, we really like to spend time as a family and go different places and do fun stuff with the kids because during the season, dad's on lockdown football mode."

"I actually call this the real season for me because I'm a dad at home with two kids," Patrick said, adding, "I've very coachable. Coach Reid coaches me at the facilit,y and Brittany coaches me at home. I do what needs to be done, and luckily the kids have a great time when I'm at home."

The NFL quarterback is nominated for three awards tonight, including best athlete in men's sports, best NFL player, and best team with the rest of his Kansas City Chiefs teammates.

It's shaping up to be a big year for Patrick. In addition to his ESPY Awards nominations and helping lead his team to victory in the 2023 Super Bowl, the 27-year-old athlete is currently gearing up for the release of his new Netflix docueries, "Quarterback." The project, which also stars Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota, will give fans a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of the three football stars, including glimpses of their homes, families, and footage from the games themselves.
