Hayden first met Rachel in 2007 on the set of their action film Jumper, and he popped the question over the holidays a year later with a two-carat solitaire ring. In August 2010, the two called off their engagement, saying distance was one of the main reasons for their breakup (Rachel was living in LA, while Hayden was back home in Canada).
Their split only lasted three months, as they reconciled later, and in November 2014, they welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Briar Rose. In September 2017, Rachel and Hayden broke up for a second time, and they are reportedly "completely, officially done." According to Us Weekly, the couple has "been on the outs for a couple of months" and Rachel is "full-time back in LA," while Hayden is in Toronto.
